Sara Strey, junior business major, passed away in a tragic accident Friday night, May 8. Mass will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 13 at Annunciation BVM Cathlic Church with Father Bill Zandora officiating.
Sara Strey, junior business major, passed away in a tragic accident Friday night, May 8. Mass will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 13 at Annunciation BVM Cathlic Church with Father Bill Zandora officiating.

TLU junior Sara Michelle Strey, age 21, died in a tragic accident Friday night, May 8, 2009.

She is survived by her mother Donna Solarczyk and husband David; father Shawn Strey; brothers Brandon and Kollin Strey; sister Kelsey Strey; and many other friends and family members.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, May 12, noon-5 p.m. at Finch Funeral Chapel in LaVernia. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday at Annunciation BVM Catholic Church in St. Hedwig. Mass will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 13 at Annunciation BVM Cathlic Church with Father Bill Zandora officiating. Interment will follow at Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery of Elm Creek.

President Ann Svennungsen said, "We extend our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to Sara's family and friends. Sara was a beloved member of the TLU community - a business major, an employee at the Alumni Student Center, and a former member of the women's soccer team. Her loss will be felt deeply by all of us here, and we pray that God's peace and presence will comfort all who grieve her untimely death."
