What's Next? Service Fair for students thinking about vocation
and social justice will take place Feb. 12 in the ASC from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

"The fair is a chance for students who are thinking about long-term volunteer options to talk with members of the various
organizations," Kathryn Nyholm, AmeriCorps VISTA worker and TLU volunteerism coordinator, said. "The goal is to have a centralized location where students can speak with people who have done service jobs, or who have worked with service-oriented organizations."

Organizations being represented at the service fair include Mennonite Central Committee, Catholic Worker House in San Antonio, World Hunger Relief Farm Inc., AmeriCorp VISTA in Seguin, Oaks Indian Mission in Oaks, Okla. and Lutheran Volunteer Corps.

"I think that many students are interested in doing long-term service but don't know their options or even where to start researching," Nyholm said. "This way it takes the work off the students, and they can come and enjoy fellowship with representatives from all different types of organizations with service/ social justice career possibilities."

For more information on the service fair contact Nyholm at knyholm@tlu.edu or Tim Barr, director of the Jon and Sandra
Moline Center for Servant Leadership at tbarr@tlu.edu.
